MY LIFE IN WORDS
My Life In Words
“Cleveland raised me, Jesus saved me!”Bridget quotes.
Some of the most fun and unforgettable memories of her childhood are extracted from those days in Longwood projects. From walking to Elementary school during El Niño to the fun summer nights to talking to her neighbors through the walls, her childhood was exciting.
Looking back, she was always drawn to words! When Bridget found out her family was moving out of the projects, one of the first things she packed up was her books! She LOVED reading and absolutely loved suspense. Her earliest writings include an article she wrote in elementary school on Martin Luther King Jr. It’d won recognition, & they’d even hung it up at a local Hospital.
Unfortunately, she would not pick up writing again until she gave her life to Christ around the age of 18. She began writing Christian poetry. It wasn’t until around 13 years later that Bridget began to get started on her first Christian suspense novel.
With the inspiration and motivation from her amazing husband, Redeeming Grace was published in 2020! The response was astounding, Bridget T. Crawford had emerged!
Fast forward 3 years later, Bridget began to expand on her gift. With 3 books published, Bridget co-wrote a song with her husband, Tyrone called “God’s Got It.” The song was released on his album entitled Never Going Back. It’s a song that reminds us, that God is in control, so let’s just chill and trust Him for real.
Why write Christian Fiction?
Bridget saw a need for more Christian and clean-based entertainment. She wanted to create a space for people like her, people who love a good mystery, a good edge-of-your-seat suspense thriller without the offensive nonsense and lewdness. All while incorporating the word of Jesus.
“Jesus gave us these gifts to glorify Him, so the response is simple. Let’s use our gifts to glorify Him, everything else is a misappropriation”
Tyrone and Bridget married in 2006 after meeting at Chapel of Hope Christian Fellowship in Cleveland, Ohio. After just 7 months of dating, they were married. “Tyrone is the best husband in the world, I am so blessed to be married to him, he literally makes my heart so happy, his smile lights up a room and his humor will make your stomach hurt. He is an amazing man of God that makes me better!” Tyrone is a national Christian recording artist, a published author, a mental health advocate, and a distinguished member of the United States Air Force. "He a Ty of all trades," Bridget says. "He is one of those people that can do everything. He can dance and fix a cabinet, all at the same time, hehe, not sure about that, but I wouldn't put it past him. I love being his wife, life is so much fun with him!"
